No, not at all. While wood-fired hot tubs do require a little effort to bring them up to temperature, most guests find this becomes part of the experience rather than a chore. If you plan it around cooking your meal or enjoying a drink together, you will hardly notice the time passing—and it all adds to the adventure.
The hot tub will be freshly cleaned and filled with cold water prior to your arrival. The fire will be set up and ready for you to light whenever you choose.
Clear, step-by-step instructions are provided in the hot tub hut to help you get the best out of your hot tub. By following these, you can expect the tub to be ready for use within a couple of hours. The first heat-up is always the longest, typically taking 2–3 hours.
Thanks to the insulated lids, the water retains its temperature very well. You may even find it is still warm enough to enjoy the following morning without needing to relight the fire. On subsequent evenings, reheating the tub is much quicker.
